Music Groups
Music Ministry at Mint Hill Baptist is organized and designed to lead in public worship, train people to use music as a means of growing to personally know God more intimately, and use music as a means for deepening fellowship between Christians. Mint Hill Baptist has the following music groups, and they meet at the times listed.
Chancel Choir
- For Adults
- Rehearsal is every Wednesday at 7:20 p.m.
- Leads in worship most
Sundays at 10:50 a.m.
- Two major musical events each year are a Christmas
Cantata and an Easter Musical
Youth Choir
- For those in grades 7th-12th
- Rehearsal is every Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
- Leads in worship on special occasions
- Vee Proctor guides the young people to grow in their
relationship with Christ, with singing as a means of that growth.
Young Musicians
- For those in grades 4th-6th
- They meet every Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
Music Makers
- For those in grades 1st-3rd
- They meet every Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
Pre-School
- For boys and girls ages 3-5
- They meet every Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
- Handbells
This group is for youth and adults. It rehearses every Sunday evening
at 5:00 p.m., and provides music in worship every four to six weeks.
Three octaves of handbells provide opportunity for eleven people to
play. Spiritual
principles are enforced as Handbells teach the importance of discipline,
co-operation, and attentiveness in ringing.
